Ranthambore National Park is one of the biggest and most important national parks of India. Ranthambore was declared as the National Park in year 1980 by Indian Government. In the year 1991, the adjoining wildlife sanctuaries named Keladevi and Sawai Man Singh became part of this National Park. The park got its name from an ancient fortress named Ranthambore which is flanked by Chambal River in South and North's Banas River.

The Ranthambore National Park is famous for tigers, the national animal of India. There are Jeep Safaris and Wildlife Safaris organized which are known as Ranthambore National Park Safaris. By airways- Jaipur is the nearest airport to the park. One can hire taxis from Jaipur City and reach the park easily.

By railways- The nearest railway stations are Kota Railway Station and Sawai Madhopur Station. Tourist can avail bus services from the stations to reach the park.

By roadways- The nearest city to the park is Sawai Madhopur from where one can travel in a bus to reach Ranthambore.
